January Update

Christmas has finally passed and the snow has cleared, leaving us with vast green lawns and empty flower beds awaiting our attention.

These will soon be home to our spring collection, crowded with daffodils and tulips, bringing with them the fresh scent of spring.

Once the weather shows its warmth, we will then look forward to opening back up our outside terrace some seven months since its closure to the autumn weather. Our terrace comes complete with mood lighting, Patio heaters and music to keep those odd April showers at bay.

After much anticipation the alterations to the reception and the front entrance of the hotel are finally finished.

Walls adorned with shades of innocence and cream, bring with it a new light and airy feel to the entrance, this has been complimented with luscious green foliage, finished with a rough chiselled stone water feature, rising tall from the ground.

The reception area then welcomes you with its modern furnishings aided by a selection of contemporary wall coverings which finish setting the mood for a thoroughly modern new atmosphere.

We are sure it will be met with your delight.

We at the Willerby Manor Hotel wish you all a very happy 2011

And finally……

Plans are well under way for those true romantics to celebrate their love and affection for their nearest and dearest on Valentine’s day here at the Hotel, where they can expect to be wined and dined in our figs brassiere.

Now Christmas and New Year is over, why not blow away the cobwebs with a visit to the fabulous RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Located only an hour away from the hotel it is a firm family favourite day out! Bempton Cliffs are easily the best place in England to see, hear and smell seabirds!
With huge numbers to watch, beginners can easily learn the difference between gannets, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes and fulmars. The easily recognisable puffins (here between April and July) are always a delight. Specially-created cliff top viewpoints are wheelchair accessible with care.

The reserve is open at all times. From March to October, the visitor centre is open daily 10 am to 5 pm. From November to February, 10 am to 4 pm.

Entry is free of charge to members. Charge for non-members is £3.50 per car, mini-bus £6 and coach £8.

Finally why not warm up with a hot drink at the visitor centre!
