Hull is home to one of the world’s most awesome aquariums. At The Deep, you can see over 3,500 fish, including spectacular sharks and rays. Designed by Sir Terry Farrell, The Deep is just a few minutes’ walk from Hull Marina and the museums quarter.

For the sports enthusiast, the Kingston Communications Stadium, or the KC for short, is just three miles from the Willerby Manor Hotel. Completed in 2002 at a cost of around £44 million, the KC is home to Hull City Football Club and Hull FC rugby-league club. With a capacity of 25,000, the KC has also played host to rock stars such as Elton John and The Who.

If you enjoy a flutter, you’ll be glad to know that your hotel is just 15 minutes’ drive from Beverley Racecourse. Make a day of it and sip champagne in the Premier Enclosure or enjoy a picnic in the Course Enclosure.

Elsewhere, there’s ice hockey, skating and concerts to be enjoyed at Hull Arena and bagloads of shopping at St Stephen’s. Or for a unique waterfront retail-therapy experience, try Princes Quay, with over 70 shops on three decks, digital multiplex cinema and range of eateries.
